Profundity

I love an analogy - two different yet similar things.

I love how it’s thought that opposites attract,

Though in practicality they don’t.

I love the sounds of words when they roll off of the tongue,

Like the auditory aspects of alliteration.

The sounds are just sounds.

They have no significance in how we hear speech,

Or how we interpret the things we ponder,

Like what is the meaning of life?

Do we live to eventually die? A paradox.

To wait patiently to die, to live another life?

What is the big wait for,

What if I enjoy my current life?

Living in the present is preached -

Time and time again.

Yet, prepare for the future,

Which shall I do?

I will live, in my mind.

Wasting time,

pondering thoughts of wasting time,

A paradox - just like the lives that we live.
