Eight Hours.
One shift.
The singular moment I’ve repeated,
Over and over again.
We can do this,
It’s just another day.
Why do you move so slow?
You know your control.
You and I will be one again; Your warmth will caress me.
The light I need,
Darkness evaporated.
Midnight is fear,
Searching, waiting, haunting.
You harbor it,
The word we hide.
It’s presence crawls,
Under my skin it slithers.
The sound is assuring,
Another second closer.
